NO FOUR-YEAR DEGREE REQUIRED

GREAT CAREERS, NO STUDENT DEBT

The union construction and manufacturing industries can provide you with a high-paying career that pays YOU to learn essential skills. Without taking out a single student loan, each apprentice receives three to five years of thorough classroom instruction and hands-on training, emerging fully equipped to join the Wisconsin workforce. Excitement, challenge, and fulfillment await!

WHY CHOOSE THE SKILLED TRADES?

Your apprenticeship will introduce you to a world with all the following benefits:

  • Transferable Skills

Acquire skills you can use on the job site, at home, and across the country.

  • Engagement

No two projects are alike, and there is considerable opportunity for growth.

  • High Pay & Excellent Benefits

Career paths offer varying wages and benefits, but all average hourly wages in the skilled trades far exceed the Wisconsin average.

Employer-provided, high-quality health insurance for you and your family. All benefits are provided beyond hourly wages, so they donā€™t come out of your paycheck.

  • Legacy Building

By joining the construction industry, you contribute to the technological and infrastructural growth of our cities and our world.

EARN WHILE YOU LEARN FROM TRADE VETERANS

During the day, apprentices work alongside experienced tradespeople, watching and absorbing what they do. Apprentices learn trade basics through technical books and instructorsā€”sometimes at a technical college or union hallā€”so they have the foundational knowledge to apply while on the job. At first, new apprentices may perform simple tasks on the job site, but as apprentices gain knowledge and experience, they are given more advanced responsibilities of the trade while still learning from a qualified mentor.
