As part of our mission to facilitate the recruitment and development of a more diverse, qualified workforce in the region, our roadbuilding construction class provides a hands-on experience to learners interested in beginning a career in the construction trades. This program provides exposure and instruction in different union construction career pathways (Carpenter, Electrician, Laborer, Plumber, etc.) and is recognized by WisDOT. Nationally accredited, this training is recognized across the state and will make you stand out.

Classes include:

  • OSHA certification
  • First aid/CPR
  • Flaggerā€™s training
  • Construction mathematics
  • Basic blueprint reading
  • Tool & material identificationtion
  • CDL preparation
  • Hands-on projects
  • Trades application assistance
  • Contractor engagment
  • & networking

Requirements:

  • Valid driverā€™s license or permit or proof of being on track to obtain a license
  • High school diploma, GED, or HSED
  • Social Security card
  • Updated resume
  • Drug free (ability to pass a drug screen)
  • Seeking a career in construction
