3rd Annual Women in Manufacturing Day
October 16, 2021 @ 3:30 am - 9:00 am
Less than 30% of the US manufacturing workforce is female. That means our sector is losing out on utilizing the talents and skills of women, and women are losing the opportunity for some great, family-supporting careers.
Join Gateway Technical College for their 3rd annual Women in Manufacturing Day on Saturday, October 16 from 8:30 AM to 2 PM at the SC Johnson iMET Center. Women in Manufacturing Day explores the variety of in-demand, high-paying careers that women are needed in and breaks down the barriers women encounter in the manufacturing industry.
The main goals of this event are to introduce women, middle school girls, and high school girls to careers in manufacturing and other skilled trades; inspire and empower women working in non-traditional careers; and show all women, middle school girls, and high school girls who attend that they can break ceilings and help them understand that “We Can Do It Too!”
