Want to learn more about a career in the skilled trades?

Try WRTP | BIG STEP’s 2026 Milwaukee Summer Trades Academy this June. Get exposure and explore the career options in the construction skilled trades!

The Summer Trades Academy will be held June 22 – 26, 2026. You must attend an info session with a parent or guardian and complete the registration process to participate in the Summer Trades Academy in June.

  • Visit trade halls and contractor facilities
  • Watch live demonstrations
  • Participate in hands-on activities
  • Learn about the apprenticeship process in union construction
