The West Allis Health Department is partnering with Employ Milwaukee to help respond to the public health and economic emergency stemming from CCOVID-19. The West Allis Health Department is seeking to fill Contact Tracer job openings. Contact Tracers connect (via phone/email) with COVID-19 infected individuals and advise them of isoloation procedures, collect, and quickly notify all close contacts of quarantine.
The Job Opening
CONTACT TRACER: 29 hours/week (Temp. for 6 months or longer.)
Hours: Varies duirng week; some weekend hours
Wages: $18.51 – $28.73/hr., depending upon experience
Requirements:
✓ To qualify for this opportunity, applicants must be currently unemployed.
✓ Background in health care, public health preferred, but not required.
✓ Experience with case management, community resource navigation, or special populations (non-English speaking, homeless, medically complex, etc.) helpful.
✓ A clear understading of patient confidentiality.
✓ Excellent and sensitive interpersonal, cultural sensitivity and interviewing skills to build and maintain trust with patients and contacts.
✓ Bi-lingual (English/Spanish) preferred.
The Location:
After several days of in-person training at the West Allis Health Dept. (7120 W National Ave., West Allis), this position will be remote, i.e., “Work From Home”. Equipment such as cell phone and computer will be provided.
