Current Oshkosh Area School District High School Sophomores, Juniors, & Seniors: Want to learn more about a career in the skilled trades?
Join us for WRTP | BIG STEP’s 2026 Summer Trades Academy this July. Get exposure and explore career options in the construction skilled trades!
- Visit trade halls and general contractor sites
- Watch live demonstrations
- Participate in hands-on activities
- Learn about the apprenticeship process in union construction
Dates:
Monday, July 13 – Friday, July 17, 2026 | 8 AM – 3:30 PM
Requirements:
Youth must attend an orientation session with a parent or guardian, complete the registration process, and be an Oshkosh Area School District high school sophomore, junior, or senior to participate in the Summer Trades Academy in July.

WRTP | BIG STEP’s FREE Entry-Level Construction Skills Training Program provides participants with hands-on experience and prepares them to pursue career opportunities in construction.
Training includes construction math, blueprint reading, tools and materials identification, hands-on projects, and more, with opportunities to earn credentials including OSHA 30, First Aid/CPR, forklift certification, and the nationally recognized MC3 credential.
