DESCRIPTION:WRTP | BIG STEP administers a Highway Construction Skills Training Program that is recognized statewide by the Wisconsin Department of Transportation (WisDOT). This program provides credentials and hands-on experiences that connect individuals to careers in construction. This program will make you STAND OUT.* \nClasses are held for 7 weeks\, Monday – Friday from 9 AM – 2 PM\, at Gateway and iMET Campus \nClasses Include: \n\nOSHA certification\nFirst aid/CPR\nFlagger’s training\nConstruction mathematics\nBasic blueprint reading\nTool & material identification\nCDL preparation\nHands-on projects\nTrades application assistance\nContractor engagement & networking\n\nRequirements: \n\nMust be 18 years or older\nValid driver’s license or the ability to obtain a license\nHigh school diploma\, GED\, or HSED\nSocial Security card\nDigital literacy\nUpdated resume\nSeeking a career in construction\nAbility to pass a drug screen\n\nMandatory Orientation:\nJanuary 27\, 2026 | Register by January 15 \nClasses Run:\nFebruary 2 – March 20 \nSuccessful completion of this program increases your opportunity for a career in the skilled trades. \nQuestions?
