DESCRIPTION:WRTP | BIG STEP administers a Highway Construction Skills Training Program that is recognized statewide by the Wisconsin Department of Transportation (WisDOT). This program provides credentials and hands-on experiences that connect individuals to careers in construction. This program will make you STAND OUT. \nClasses are held for 10 weeks\, Monday – Friday\, 10 AM to 3 PM. \nClasses include: \n\nOSHA certification\nFirst aid/CPR\nFlagger’s training\nConstruction mathematics\nTool & material identification\nBasic blueprint reading\nCDL preparation\nHands-on projects\nTrades application assistance\nContractor engagement & networking\n\nRequirements: \n\nValid driver’s license\, permit\, or proof of being on track to obtain license\nHigh school diploma\, GED\, or HSED\nSocial security card\nUpdated Resume\nDrug-free (ability to pass a drug screen)\nSeeking a career in construction\n\nRecruitment/Information Session: \n\nJanuary 10\, 2025 from 10 – 11 AM | Register by January 3\n\nTentative Training: \n\nJanuary 13 – March 21
