As published by Sheboygan Press.

Toni White was recently named the next president of Sheboygan Area Black-American Community Outreach, a 501(c)(3) non-profit formed in 2020.

White is currently the chief operating officer of a non-profit workforce intermediary non-profit organization named WRTP BIG STEP in Milwaukee.

She is a long-standing native of Sheboygan. She attended Urban, Farnsworth and graduated from Sheboygan South High School. She has two masterā€™s degrees, one in business management and the other in non-profit management and leadership. She became a member of Black-American Community Outreach approximately two years ago and has participated in many activities that have been happening with the organization.

The organization said: “The presidency role for her with BACO coincides with her skill sets and seems to be ideal, seeing as though her passion is helping people help themselves. Her mission and purpose of giving back to the Sheboygan community as a Black-American leader aligns with her career and many other endeavors, such as being an active Rotarian member in the Milwaukee community.”

White shared the following:

My goals and aspirations for the organization are to continually dedicate my time and efforts to design, create and develop equitable access for opportunities for Black-Americans in the Sheboygan area community.

My vision for the Black-American Community Outreach organization is to showcase and exemplify the acts of service, the positive people, and the ability of a Black organization to assist and be part of the overall DEI efforts evolving within Sheboygan County utilizing the following:

  1. Expose the positivity of Black leaders and their contributions to the Sheboygan Community.
  2. Engage Black youth to positive opportunities and community resources, and provide them with the supports necessary to succeed.
  3. Be a platform by which organizations and agencies can partner, collaborate and coordinate with the Black community in a more streamlined, efficient and effective way.
  4. Serve as an information hub and intermediary between Black-owned businesses and others to share information and insight in relation to economic growth and financial opportunities and resources.
  5. Assist low-income families in expanding and increasing their financial capacity and capabilities.
  6. Promote volunteerism and giving back as a means to network and expand Black community membersā€™ knowledge of the resources and services in the Sheboygan community.
